Nice spacing and lawn and trees between sites. This will be one of our stops on numberless trips on I Buck Owens' Crystal Palace is near, but, alas, no Buck. Very nice, clean, RV park with no road noise. We stopped here twice in Oct for one night each. We were in a back-in space which was easy to back into and there was plenty of room to park the truck after disconnecting.

We didn't use any of the amenities laundry, pool, showers, toilets, etc. We came in after hours to see a list of available sites posted on their office door. We parked in a spot, came back to cross the spot off the list of available spots and did NOT register with the available drop in envelope. We visited the office first thing the next morning and were reassured 'no problem'. We stayed in an Orange orchard a few years ago, which was nice, but this place suited us better this trip.
We'll stay here again. We stayed Friday through Tuesday over Presidents day weekend. It was quiet when we arrived early afternoon, but filled up rapidly. It was a bit noisy with kids running around and lots of groups in their campsites and around campfires. By Sunday afternoon though it quieted down a lot and by Monday evening it was dead quiet. This will never be a destination stop for us, but if we need a stop while traveling through, we would definitely stay here again, especially mid week.
This is a quiet place for a night or two in the off-season. There are no-hookup and also full-hookup sites arranged in a semicircle around a reservoir filled with ducks. The sites are gravel curved pull-throughs, though a bit short, but I had no problems getting my 32' motorhome in. As others have said, there is hardly anyone here during the late fall and winter, and the price is a really good deal for this area. The only problem I had was very weak Verizon data service. The ladies at the check-in booth were very helpful and suggested sites, though I could have gone back and selected another if not satisfied with the one I picked.
Got satellite signal, which was good, but wish there had been better Verizon service. Wonderful find, close enough to I-5 to be convenient for over night stop, but enough to be very quiet miles. Off season and only about 6 other campers. County park so no WiFi or cable. Fun to watch the raccoons but be careful about food outside. Because of the rain, the grass was green.
Sites are the semicircle style pull through which was fine for our 35' motor home and toad didn't unhook , but would take careful selection for a 40' unit. Understand summer weekends are a madhouse and very noisy, with lots of jet skiis and 20 - 30 to a campsite not uncommon.
Would definitely come here again in off season or maybe midweek in summer. We really like this park. Sites are level with convenient hookups. We have stayed at Bakersfield RV Resort many times over the past years. Always look forward to a great place to stay. We had not stayed in a few years and stayed yesterday Oct 2, Check in was great, taken to our spot as normal.
We got out to hook up and the place has changed. It was filthy dirty. The place had not been cleaned for quite a while. The grass was dying, and although the rules say no permanents, there are several staying here. I asked many other campers and they said the same that the cable was fuzzy at best. I asked at the front counter and they said sorry. What a shame for what used to be such a nice place.
I will return, thanks. We have stayed at horrible, shabby parks that cost twice as much as this per night. This is a very nice park! The sites are big and bright with grass and trees. There aren't many parks with a sit-down restaurant and bar but this one, the Crest Bar and Grill, has great food, a full menu, a full bar and patio dining if you wish and a super-friendly staff.
We had a pull-through site that was nearly level and the sewer hook up was low and level to the ground, not like some parks that think that liquids flow uphill.
They warn about thievery in this area and offer folks a complimentary bike locks. The baths are clean and modern and you need a code to enter, which I like. There is a nice store and gift shop pretty well stocked with supplies, small gifts and local wines.
We would most definitely stay here again! We came here when our other arrangement didn't work, but will not be back. Most of the slots are permanent residents and the profusion of personal items outside, including sofas and spare tires, was awful. Our neighbor told us to lock up anything of value and that his kids bikes were stolen so he was leaving. We had a number of people walk by us and stare at the trailer which was disconcerting.
see The noise from the highway, city traffic and trains made it difficult to sleep. The host, while friendly, asked us on multiple times what we paid for our trailer. The spot was wide enough and long enough for a big rig and was easy to maneuver, that's the best I can say about this place.
This is a quiet place for a night or two in the off-season. There is room to accommodate large groups. Another spot worth visiting is The Park at River Walk near Bakersfield for a totally different atmosphere. United States Census Bureau. Would agree with previous reviews that dumping was impossible into the narrow pipe without an adapter. Unable to get the cable to work, but digital TV was OK.
Located directly under a high voltage power line Right of Way. Laundry and restrooms clean, a little dated. Most short term sites are pull-thru. One problem is sewer connection. The sewer pipes are too small for standard RV dump hoses and elbows. I improvised and used a sewer seal donut, slid it down over the outside of the sewer pipe and then stuck the RV fixture into that, tight fit and a good seal.
A little noisy with freeway a block away and a railroad directly next door. All sites are cracked asphalt and the facility is dated. We probably won't return.
Well-maintained and clean park. Sites are large, level and paved with full hook-ups. Our pull-through site was plenty large, with room for our 43' RV and towed car. Pool seasonal , laundry room, bathrooms, and showers were all very clean and looked after. Close to all the activities in Bakersfield. Small spaces but good WiFi, cable TV and utilities. Most spaces occupied by long term residents but everything was clean and tidy. Restrooms were clean but the shower room had large spiders and webs on the ceiling.
We just stayed one night and would stay again.
